Timesheets go live at ITER Monday on 9 November

As from Monday 9 November, all ITER directly employed and seconded staff as well as Postdocs will have to complete a SAP timesheet every week on the HR Portal.

The purpose of these timesheets is to record the amount of time spent on project tasks. This will improve project execution, work control, and decision making by providing information on the tasks being performed. Timesheet entry is a prerequisite to earned value management and will aid with detailed planning and budgeting.

This week, all employees will receive via email, a data pack that will include:

The purpose of completing a timesheet

A detailed working instruction on completing your timesheet

A list of contact details for any technical / functional issues

The schedule for the roll-out of the Timesheet module in SAP will be as follows:

Tuesday 3 November

All Timesheet Administrator training will be complete Wednesday 4 November.

All ITER employees including Postdocs and seconded Staff will be receiving a Time Recording Data Pack: Thursday 5 November

All ITER employees including Postdosc and Seconded Staff will be given access to the SAP HR Portal: Monday 9 November

All employees will input time data each week (Time data should be completed each Friday): Monday 16 November

Managers will approve timesheets.

Employees who are uncertain about which charge codes they should use when completing their timesheets will need to contact their Budget Analysts / Project Controls Manager (PCM) for assistance.
