ITER Events
The ITER Organization plans several outreach events every year. Click on the links below for more information on upcoming events.
The 11th ITER International School, originally planned by host Aix-Marseille University in 2020, has to be postponed to 2021 given the present evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new dates will be announced in spring 2021.
The theme of the conference will remain "The Impact and Consequences of Energetic Particles on Fusion Plasmas." As the start of ITER operations approaches, it will be timely to address this multidisciplinary topic that includes plasma self-heating by fusion-born alpha-particles, the influence of energetic particles on stability, diagnosing energetic particle transport and loss, and understanding runaway electrons.
The five-day program (in English) is open to students of science and engineering.
Originally planned from 20 to 24 July 2020 and then rescheduled to 16 to 20 November 2020, the 11th ITER International School is now postponed to 2021 (dates TBC).
The ITER Organization is recruiting now for the Monaco/ITER Postdoctoral Fellowship program. If you are a national of one of the ITER Members (China, the European Union plus Switzerland, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the US) or of the Principality of Monaco—and your PhD was awarded after 1 January 2017—you may be eligible for a two-year postdoctoral position in the ITER Organization.
