ITER Events
The ITER Organization plans several outreach events every year. Click on the links below for more information on upcoming events.
The ITER Organization will be hosting a fusion PhD event at ITER Headquarters (Saint Paul-lez-Durance, France) from 7 to 9 November 2018.
Financed by the education platform FuseNet, the event provides a unique opportunity for PhD students registered at a European University to build bridges with other students working in the field of fusion science and engineering. The three-day program will offer the opportunity to discuss and exchange with researchers from the international fusion community and to interact with some of the companies involved in the adventure of building ITER. Interested students should register at the link below.
The ITER Organization and the European agency for ITER, Fusion for Energy, will be hosting tours of the ITER construction site on Saturday 20 October 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We're sorry; the event is now full.
The eighth edition of the ITER Games—the annual sporting event for people working directly or indirectly for the ITER Project and for residents of neighbouring villages Saint Paul-lez-Durance and Vinon-sur-Verdon—will be held on Saturday 8 September 2018 in Vinon. This year's choice of events includes cross-country running, football, mountain biking, tennis, kayaking and pétanque. Sign up through the link below.
The ITER Organization and the European agency for ITER, Fusion for Energy, will be hosting tours of the ITER construction site on Saturday 26 May 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration is now closed.
The ITER Organization is recruiting now for the Monaco/ITER Postdoctoral Fellowship program. If you are a national of one of the ITER Members (China, the European Union plus Switzerland, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the US) or of the Principality of Monaco—and your PhD was awarded after 1 January 2015—you may be eligible for a two-year postdoctoral position in the ITER Organization.
