Kazutaka Seo
Kazutaka Seo joined ITER on 1 April as TF Coil Designer within the Tokamak Department. Before coming to ITER he worked for Mitsubishi Electric Corporation for 11 years, the National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) for 5 years, and was a visiting researcher at ITER from the Japanese Domestic Agency for one year. He mainly worked on large-scale applications of superconducting magnets. Kazutaka lives in Aix-en-Provence and has a 10-year-old son who is still in Japan. In his time off he enjoys taking oil painting lessons, and travelling in France or to foreign countries, including Japan.
