A New Chapter for Tore Supra
On Thursday 8 October, a new chapter opened in the 20-year history of Tore Supra. The CEA-Euratom tokamak, upgraded and fitted with a new heating and current drive system, began a campaign to test this "new hardware." One of the components being tested has been precisely designed in order to cope with a neutron constraint similar to the one expected in ITER.
Let's join Gabriel Marbach, Head of the CEA Research Institute for Magnetic Fusion (IRFM), and his deputy Bernard Saoutic in the Tore Supra control room. Watch the video here.
