Axel Winter

Axel Winter

Axel Winter joined ITER on 2 February as part of the Post-Doctoral Monaco Fellowship Program. He will be working as a Post-Doc Researcher on the plasma control system as part of the Department for Fusion Science & Technology.

Before joining ITER, he worked for DESY (the German National Laboratory for Accelerator & Particle Physics) in Hamburg, on the European X-ray Free Electron Laser project.

Axel lives in Manosque and in his spare time he enjoys hiking, skiing, playing the piano, cooking and travelling.
