A historic family reunion

The ITER team this afternoon gathering in front of the large PF Coils Winding Facility.
It was truly a "historic moment" as ITER Director-General Osamu Motojima put it. Gathered under the roof of the large PF Coils Winding Facility on 2 September 2011, the ITER team—together with friends, colleagues and neighbours—enjoyed a large "family reunion." An event that celebrated the anniversary of the site decision, "a turning point in the history of ITER," as Motojima said. "This is the inauguration of what I hope will be a long-lasting tradition in our community. Let us remember on this occasion that what we are building here is not an ordinary project. It is one that could change the course of civilization and our culture in the near future."
