Kijung Jung appointed Head of ITER Korea
Kijung Jung, previously Deputy Director General of ITER Korea, has succeeded Gyung-Su Lee as Director General of ITER Korea following GS Lee's appointment as President of the National Fusion Research Institute of Korea in September. The new Deputy Director General of ITER Korea is Joo Shik Bak, who was previously the chief officer responsible for KSTAR construction at the NFRI.
In a letter congratulating Kijung Jung on his appointment, ITER Director-General Kaname Ikeda emphasized that Kijung Jung has demonstrated his commitment and enthusiasm for the ITER Project on many occasions. "I would like to join the big welcome of your many friends in the ITER community worldwide toward your promotion and do look forward to working together with you for the success of ITER."
