Powering ITER
Powering ITER
The goal of ITER is to prove that we can generate vast amounts of energy by fusing atoms. But in order to do so, we need some energy. Not only for the experiments themselves, but also to light our labs and to heat (or cool) our offices. In this week's video clip Joël Hourtoule, Section Leader of ITER's Steady State Electrical Network, explains how we power the biggest fusion machine ever built.
