Newcomers
This first week of June saw more new arrivals to the ITER project: From left to right: Subramanian Rajendran (Tokamak Department), Pascal Romain(Fusion Science), Barbara Calcagno(Tokamak), Alain Guigon(Project Office) and Sonia Barrera-Ordonez (Tokamak).
Francesco Milani
Francesco Milani joined ITER on 4 May as Electro-Mechanical Engineer within the CEP Department where he will deal particularly with the Switching Network Units of the PF coil power supplies. Before coming to ITER he worked at RFX (Reversed Field eXperiment), in Padova Italy for more than 13 years. He was involved mainly in power electronics and DC-current interruption systems. Over the last years, he also collaborated with ITER for the design revision of the power supplies of the Heating Neutral Beam Injector.
Francesco lives in Manosque where his wife and his two children (6 and 8 years old) will join him this summer after the end of the school year.
In his spare time he enjoys playing volleyball, swimming and reading.
Bharat Doshi
Bharat Doshi joined ITER on 7 May as Section Leader, Cryostat & Vacuum Vessel Pressure Suppression System (VVPSS) within the Tokamak Department. Before coming to ITER he worked as Project Manager, Cryostat & VVPSS, for the Indian Domestic Agency at the Institute for Plasma Research in Gandhinagar.
Bharat, his wife and their two sons live in Aix-en-Provence and when he is off work he enjoys going for long walks, watching television and listening to music. He also spends time learning to speak French.
